Van de aarden wallen met stenen poorten (1590), in 1820 als vestingwerken opgeheven, is het beloop rondom de stad nog te volgen. Aan de Oostzijde van de haven zijn nog twee bastions te herkennen, evenals de saillant van een bastion, met daarop staande korenmolen aan de Noordzijde.

Der Verlauf der Erdwälle mit Steintoren (1590), die 1820 als Befestigungsanlagen außer Dienst gestellt wurden, lässt sich noch heute um die Stadt verfolgen. Zwei Bastionen sind an der Ostseite des Hafens noch erkennbar, ebenso wie der Vorsprung einer Bastion mit einer darauf stehenden Windmühle an der Nordseite.

The course of the earthen ramparts with stone gates (1590), decommissioned as fortifications in 1820, can still be traced around the city. Two bastions can still be recognized on the east side of the harbor, as well as the salient of a bastion, with a windmill standing on top of it on the north side.
