Rooms katholieke zaalkerk, gelegen aan de Markt in het centrum van de stad, in 1900 in opdracht van de katholieke parochie van Onze Lieve Vrouw Hemelvaart onder leiding van pastoor Beddink in neo-gothische stijl gebouwd naar ontwerp van architect P. Snel te Hoorn. De kerk kwam tot stand na afbraak van de oude kerk in 1900 en werd ingezegend op 19 november 1900.

Die römisch-katholische Saalkirche am Marktplatz im Stadtzentrum wurde 1900 im neugotischen Stil erbaut. Sie wurde von der katholischen Pfarrei Mariä Himmelfahrt unter Pfarrer Beddink nach einem Entwurf des Architekten P. Snel aus Hoorn in Auftrag gegeben. Die Kirche entstand nach dem Abriss der alten Kirche im Jahr 1900 und wurde am 19. November 1900 geweiht.
